About Ramadanman

David ‘Ramadanman’ Kennedy has been DJing since the age of 14, beginning with deep house and hip hop and progressing to jungle as he grew older before focusing his attention on dubstep having been inspired by a Mala set after reaching FWD for the first time in 2006.
Since then David has racked up a number of critically acclaimed releases on a diverse selection of labels including Soul Jazz, Tempa, Aus, Critical Music and Hessle Audio, the label he co-runs with Pangaea and Ben UFO.
Since it’s inception in 2007, Hessle Audio has firmly established itself as a definitive advocate for beautiful mongrel strands of garage, house, dubstep and post genre sounds, issuing many roundly lauded debut releases by trailblazing artists such as Cosmin TRG, Untold, Joe, James Blake and Elgato.
Ramadanman has also remixed a variety of artists including the Ragga Twins, Scuba, Beat Pharmacy, Howie B, SpectraSoul and the Bulgarian group Wickeda.
He has enjoyed DJ support from the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Skream, Mr Scruff, Craig Richards, Francois K, Kode9, Mala, Distance, Mary Anne Hobbs, Rob da Bank, Gilles Peterson, Will Saul and many more.
He is also heavily involved in organizing the Leeds night Ruffage as well as co-hosting the now infamous Ruffage Sessions weekly internet radio show on Sub FM. Ramadanman DJs often both nationally and internationally including regular dates at the dubstep institution, FWD in London.
